The Blips (Contacts)
The Blips are Civic Radar's quick-access address book — trusted neighbours pulled from real interactions rather than a cold contact list. An extra tag keeps repeated names straight, an Emergency contact flag ties into Wellbeing alerts, and Favourites stay pinned to the top.
Best on a larger screen: the side-by-side view shows every annotation at once.
A pinned Favourites section sits above the alphabetical list. Drag along the right edge to jump straight to a letter, and call or message right from the list.
Two contacts named Brandon get their own extra tag — Apt 4B, Corner store — so nobody's left guessing which one replied.
Pick several contacts at once to pin or remove them together, instead of handling each one on its own.
Each contact has room for a private note, an extra identifying tag, a favourite marker, and an emergency-contact flag.
An Emergency contact shows its badge directly in the list, not just buried in the detail sheet.
Turning on Emergency contact marks who to notify — the automatic alert itself is part of a later phase, and isn't switched on yet.
Adding a Blip surfaces people you've recently messaged, scanned, or shared a thread with — one tap instead of a cold search.
The first time you open Blips, a short explainer video shows you what a Blip actually does — no confusing blank screen to figure out on your own.
An unmatched search stays simple — no results, a one-line explanation, and a direct way to clear it.
